Williamsburg Days 4 & 5

Yesterday and today consisted of Busch Gardens. Yeah 2 days for the price of one. Here’s a little secret for the next time you go. Busch Gardens has an unpublished rain rule. If you are at Busch Gardens and it rains, you can get a “rain pass” to come back any day until the end of the season. All you need to do is go to the Passport center (near the entrance) when it is raining or shortly there after and request a Rain Ticket. BAM! You get the pass. And no – you do not need to leave now that you have a rain pass. Pretty cool.

The park was nice and the food was very good at the Trappers Smokehouse. My son racked in the prizes as well. The pile of loot was huge. I am not sure how we are going to fit it in the van!

Williamsburg – Day 3

Today was a quite day of relaxing. We started the day off at the pool and my son figured out how to swim today. NICE. I am so proud. He now claims that swimming is his favorite thing in the world. At least until next week. ;)

We also ran to the grocery store today and you will never guess who I ran into there. Bruce Hornsby. YUP. He was buying some Sushi. He is one tall drink of water.

Tonight – the King’s Arms tavern. YUMMMMM

Williamsburg: Day 2

Last night we caught the Norfolk tides in a 2-1 win over the Indianapollis Indians in an 11th inning rally. What an exciting finish! Check out the recap on the Tides site. Thanks to Scott for the great seats.

Today consisted of some shopping and some dining. Tomorrow – Busch Gardens!

Williamsburg: Day 1

We arrived yesterday in one piece after a 6 and half hour drive. Little longer than expected but not impossibly bad. We chilled out last night and Scott and I swung by the Williamsburg Brewery for some fresh beer. We enjoyed the Grand Illumination (an Imperial IPA). It had a smoother HopDevil thing going on. BTW – The brewer/owner of WB is podcasting about beer and such. Check it out at http://www.podbeer.com

The place is great! Think luxury 2-bedroom condo. Only down side. We need more towels. No biggie.

Tonight – a Norfolk Tides game!

Microsoft names new Windows

The new release of Windows will be named Windows Vista. Slated for release next year (maybe), I believe the name is an acronym for “viruses, infections, spyware, trojans and adware”.
