I like Matt Smith as The Doctor. A lot. The current season, 6, has been excellent. Stephen Moffatt‘s guidance and writing is awesome.

But part of being the doctor is that one day your tenure ends. I am planting seeds now for James Callis as the next Doctor, number 12.
James Callis
He is best known for his role as Dr. Gaius Baltar on Battlestar Galactica. I think he would a gravitas to the role. I think he would also be the right age for the part. I like my Doctor a little older.
That would be a very interesting direction.
But you know he’d just end up shagging a cybewoman.
