Colin : Extreme Athlete?
Yesterday, Colin decided it was a good morning to jump off the bed. He was on the bed while I turned to get out a shirt for him to wear. Next thing I know, I feel a bump against my leg and a little baby is on the floor. He landed on his butt and leg and was nearly sitting. I quickly turned around and grabbed him off the floor and he then started the fuss. But I think that was because he was scared. I on the other hand was checking all the parts for movement and responsiveness. Leg works? Check. Head? Check. You can see right? Check. I put him back in the bed, he laughed and started his normal Colin-ness of rolling-sitting-psuedo-quasi-crawling-face-flopping with a smile on his face.
At the end of the day, he was fine. UGH! that was scary.
Book Reviews - I swear they are closer
Did a little beta testing today and things are getting close for the new book section. Let’s call it Library. That sounds good and completely more important than it is. I am hoping for Friday.
Bachelorhood for the weekend (with the kids)
My wife is out of town starting Thursday morning for a conference for work. She is off to the Big Apple. I am home swillin’ beer, watchin’ the game, and generally scratching. Sure—- Did I mention the kids are here. Looks like business as usual with the addition of doing both pickup and drop off for school. I usually just start the day. Not so this week.
MMMM….beer
For my birthday I received a case of Fool Circle home brews. 6 types, 4 bottles of each. I have been happily sampling them and the reviews will be popping soon. Don’t you wish your brother was cool like mine.(hopefully that little kiss up will line me up for some more brews

1Nigel has done that on more then one occasion in his younger days. Once was off a bed in the hotel room we stayed in after all getting sick on the way home from Thanksgiving. I come to think that since they don’t know what is happening, they don’t tense up, therefore not getting hurt. Because each time, like with Colin, Nigel was smiling minutes later wanting to play with something.
As for the case of Fool’s Circle (insert middle finger smiley). ; ) I long for the day to get my hands on another Hunting MacRae.

2It will be at least another year, to the best of my knowledge, Brian did not brew any MacRae this year

3Brian did just “waste” four 2005 Hunting MacRae’s in two local competitions. It received a third in the Scotch Ale (Wee Heavy) category at HOPS BOPS and the other competition (Split Rock) is this weekend. Why does Brian say “waste”? Because as of now at least one MacRae is going to be drunk by some unworthy fool. Each homebrew competition requires two bottles, one bottle for the first round, and one bottle if it makes it to the best of show round. Since only the first place beers move on, that means there was a left over bottle that some organizer of the competition will take home and drink, not knowing what it is but hopefully enjoying.
