LALA.com – my new addiction

I signed up some time ago for lala.com. What is lala?? It is a CD trading site. You make a list of what you have, what you want and so on. As you go, it automatically matches up trades for you. The more you send, the more you get. I have sent 4 so far and I am slated to receive 5 so far. Got rid of some of the foder from my collection and I am getting things I want.

Cost? Well it is $1 a trade and then $0.75 for shipping. They ship you envelopes and cases for sending the disc and you have the option of requesting the artwork or not.

They also support the artists. $0.20 from each $1 goes to the artists.

BTW – wondering about the lack of posts………….there is A LOT going on I will be posting soon – there a few wildcards..

And if you want an invite to join lala.com – contact me

UPDATE: Since I posted this I have now sent 7 and am receiving 8 (one of which arrived today). I should basically have a new cd everyday this week while getting rid of stuff I no long want. SWEET!

[...] LaLa.Com My brother-in-law David POSTED about this about a week ago, and I joined the fun a little before that. What LaLa.Com is, is a CD trading site. You list the CD’s you are willing to trade, and then list the CD’s you are looking to get. Then LaLa does the rest. They give you postage paid envelopes that are big enough to stick the cover art (front and back), and a slim protective case for the CD. They charge $1.75 for every CD you receive. Obviously part of that covers the shipping supplies and the postage. But part of it actually goes to the artists, or whoever collects the royalty checks. [...]

  1. I joined a couple of week ago, too. I have shipped three and have three on the way to me. I think I might go and weed out more of what I wouldn’t mind giving up.

Sounds like a good deal for you there, Dave.

I might have to get on that bandwagon, when I can carve out a little time to make my list up…
