Last night we went to Fuji for Catherine’s birthday dinner. It is a Japanese grill and sushi bar. We went to one like this on our Williamsburg trip and this one was better hands down. The room was cooler and more intimate. The only down side was that the place is in a strip mall which never lends itself to “coolness”. Overall we all had a very good time, and you can check out Scott’s thoughts about the evening.
We all rolled over to Starbucks afterwards for solve our coffee jones, hung out for a while and then headed home.

You can check out Raymond’s performance (Windows Media Video - 5.5MB) from the evening. He was our chef. Also, you can check out my cartoonish laugh. I hate holding the camera.

1I love restaurants like this. There are a few chains around, but I’ve also been to some one-off joints that do the tableside grilling. The method and the tricks are usually pretty similar, but I’ll be damned if a freshly grilled shrimp that I catch in the air doesn’t taste the best.
By your description, and the video evidence, it seems like a good time was had by all…
