The food was awesome yesterday and the beer was better. This event consists of a very select few getting invited to sample the last years “crop” of Fool Circle beers. Some of them are very fresh ; some are up to a year old. The entire process is “blind”. We do not know which ones we will be tasting and what order they will be served in. We are given a preview ahead of time of the brews in all their bottle magestry.

This year saw all five of us in competition again for the Grand Puh-Bah title. The competition was fierce, but the repeating champion was myself (see the modesty here!).

We have a new trophy this year that is in a “Stanley Cup Style” decor, each year the names of the victors are added to the base. The previous 2 years were on there at the begining of event, Robert in 2003 and myself in 2004. We were all given name plates that were set up at our seats, the victor placing theirs upon the base.

Thanks to Brian for inviting me! It was awesome.

Hopefully I will have more pictures soon to share. Check out the pictures from this year and see how last years event compares.

Of course, check Brian’s Website for news of the event.
