My son’s first baseball game

We decided yesterday to catch the afternoon Wilmington Blue Rocks game. What a great decision! We we able to show up and get third base side box seats. We really enjoyed ourselves and my son was hopeful we would catch a ball. Like most people in the stands, we were not so lucky. But we had a great time and it was fun to explain the game to my son. Myself, my son, Catherine ,her sister Marcia and husband Scott all took in the game. We are definitely doing this again! My son wanted “more hitting” and for a first game I understand but he did get an excellent display of pitching from Anibal Sanchez. The Blue Rocks website has a nice recount.

We were also lucky enough to have my sister and brother-in-law join us for dinner afterwards. If only we had called them a few minutes earlier, they could have gone to the game instead of shopping for shirts. Oh well, I bet we had more fun Check out the pictures from the day.
