I had the follow up interview with the President of the company today. VERY business like. It seems they are calling references to make sure I am not a complete crack pot. I also asked more in depth questions about Health Care. Since we are getting married in less than 3 months and with my son, I would need family coverage. My portion to have health care - provided by the company - would be almost $500 a month, nearly $6000 a year! OUCH! This in itself is making me question taking the position. I will have to see what comes down the pike.

1Brutal. I wonder why it’s that way. Because the company is small? What % is the company paying?
In other words, is it that the insurance is extraordinarily expensive or is the company paying a low percentage of it?

2The company is small and they contribute a flat $200 a month to benefits. It is really too much to be considered a benefit. It would be close to the same buying in myself.
And it is not like the insurance is crazy good.
BTW - there is no dental or reinbursement for it , for that matter.
