“It’s a completely cool, multi-purpose movie”
This film was made in 1986 by first time director David Byrne is very quirky and very odd and, yes, very cool.
With characters straight out of the Weekly World News, they make up for the thinnest of plot. But then, you are not really watching this for plot are you??
David stars as our narrator and in his own eccentric way makes the trip slightly enjoyable and slightly uncomfortable. The film also stars a young John Goodman in a role that shows off his comic timing and singing skills. Did I mention it’s a musical!
