Recent Renters

We have been renting some more “catalog” movies recently. Some of our recent favs as renters are:

In America: The story of an immegant family in the 1980’s. Well acted, well shot. The kids are cool.

The Italian Job: Much better than I thought it would be. A movie perfect for renting. The Minis rule!

Stop Making Sense: The Talking Heads concert film from 1984 was recently reissued on DVD with bonuses, bonuses, bonues!! Just as cool as it was 20 years ago. Catherine really enjoyed this!

BTW - I love Netflix!

I liked the “Italian Job”, too. Though I have been told that the original “Italian Job”, with Michael Caine was better. One of the guys I work with lent me a copy of it. Still have yet to watch it. The other two look like ones I need to rent as well.

There is a bonus feature on there that shows some of the similarities and many of the differences. They have a heist, an ensemble cast, and a heist (and a title) in common. I would like to see the original as well.
