Yup - The Dark Tower - book II

I decided after a very long drought from the first book - The Gunslinger - the dip into the Dark Tower series again. It is the only King I will read after my disastrous run with Needful Things. Since he has finished the series, I figured I would give it a shot. And I did enjoy the book.

This book pushes and shapes the saga of Roland much more in my opinion than the first book. I know King has revised and expanded this and the first book since he finished the series so that may have changed. The book moved very fast and I have said in the past, the stories of King’s novel are excellent. He just needs an editor. This book did not suffer as badly as Needful Things in that department. I have also read that book 4 (Wizard and Glass) is one of the shining moments of the saga.

I will return and follow Roland on his journey soon enough. Now onto something completely different.
